The home of quality live string music for your special function.

The Offenbach Strings are one of Queensland’s most respected professional string ensembles for weddings, corporate functions, birthdays, openings and other special events. This acoustic group is based on the Sunshine Coast and has performed at over 3000 events in churches, private residences, art galleries, function centres and resorts all over South-East Queensland and beyond.

Founded by Alex Pattri in 1991, the Offenbach Trio has performed for Prime Ministers, State Premiers,  Mayors, Consuls and many other dignitaries.  The trio has recorded for several short films and toured to Regional Queensland centres and Norfolk Island.  The Offenbach Trio has been a top 3 finalist at the Qld ABIA Awards six times.   Performers are drawn from a highly professional pool of musicians in order to provide live music to the highest possible caliber:

  • Professional presentation and reliability
  • A vast 9-hour repertoire and the ability to customize your music with integrity

LATEST NEWS

We're expanding!  For the last 3 months Alex has been helping build a new studio/office/workshop under the existing house in order to service clients and students better.  It's not finished yet but the end is in sight!  He's getting pretty good at concreting but don't worry - he can still play violin.  Keep an eye out for photos on the transformation of an ugly swamp under the house to a custom-made flexible work area.

Once finished, the address/phone numbers/emails won't need to change - just keep using the current contact details.

Congratulations to all musicians who have worked so hard over the last year.  Once again we were finalists in the ABIA awards and this year we were placed 4th in the state!  In 2011 there were only 6 finalists in the live bands category and our result means we have been valued above hundreds of other jazz and rock bands, singers and ensembles of all genres.  A big thank you for the brides who voted for us, too.  Alex doesn't spend much time on publicity/self-promotion and he appreciates the feed-back you give is a result of your own efforts.

The Offenbach Trio performed twice at the recent "It's My Wedding Expo" in Noosa Springs with Sarah Knight.  It was great seeing so many appreciative brides-to-be there.  It looks like our next wedding expo appearance will be in January 2012 at Novotel Twin Waters Resort.  See you there!

You may enquire about booking us at any stage of your preparations, but to avoid disappointment it's best to book early.  We sometimes get bookings 18 months in advance and this year alone we have had to decline 30 bookings already.

TESTIMONIALS

This is a small selection of hundreds of testimonials, media releases on TV, radio, newspapers and personal web pages.

"The Offenbach Trio with their ability to turn the drone of background noise into a serene, elegant and romantic setting for celebrations is truly unique." Jessie & Andy, March 2010

"...I would like to extend my sincere thanks to you for your generous support and participation in making the 2009 30th Anniversary Charity Ball such a success."
AGL Rescue Helicopter, Oct 2009

"Thank you for truly exquisite music which The Offenbach Trio provided for Amber and Allan's wedding on Saturday... What a Day!  First cyclone Hamish's last minute showers forcing us inside and then the miraculous appearance of sun enabling us to have the ceremony outside after all! You seemed to take it all in your stride and we marvelled at the way in which you seemed to effortlessly come in on cue and just set the scene so beautifully.  All the girls were very teary as Amber and Bruce came down the path to the sounds of Pachelbel's Canon... I'm so glad we had the opportunity to meet beforehand when you took the time to visit us the previous weekend." Amber & Allan, March 2009

“Thank you for your lovely service on our wedding day.  It was beautiful you could feel the love in the music Bravo many thanks” Michael & Susan, November 2008

“Many thanks for performing for us and our guests on our wedding day. We received many comments praising your performance on the day from our guests. On a personal note, we were very impressed with your rendition of Sigur Ros’ ‘Samskeyti’ for our wedding processional – it was simply perfect! We will definitely be recommending Offenbach Trio to others.”  Simone & David, August 2008

"To the Quartet! Many thanks for being a part of our special day - the music was truly beautiful and memorable.  We had so many wonderful comments from guests,  In particular, thank you Alex, for your patience, especially with emails backwards and forwards and the last minute changes, I cannot recommend you highly enough." Daniel & Zoe, September 2006
